The Ugears tram takes you back to the good old days when trams were still part of the cityscape.
The tram line model is the first mechanical model from the "Mechanical Town" series by and is by far not only aimed at lovers of traditional vehicles. This is not a conventional model that goes into the display case for viewing after assembly: The tram is equipped with a catenary current collector, which is used to switch the vehicle into "driving mode".
You can simply move the wagon on the rails provided and let it travel to the depot in this way. Before the ride begins, the doors are of course closed with a separate button. In the depot itself there is a turntable that allows the tram to be turned 180 degrees - so it is perfectly prepared for the return journey.
The interior and exterior of the railway
Inside the tram there are no built-in mechanics, but there are lots of cogs, cranks, wheels and a rubber band motor, so that curious and technophile tinkering fans still get their money's worth.
But there is also a lot to discover away from the actual tram car: With the help of the additional parts included in the scope of delivery, a tram stop can be assembled on the platform together with a small clock, a ticket counter, a bench and a small, removable staircase for the passers-by.
In addition, there is also a pedestrian crossing next to the tram depot, which is designed in the form of a round arch.
The special features of the tram
As one is used to from the high-quality model kits of this manufacturer, the individual parts of the tram also convince with a maximum of precision, which is achieved by an exact laser cut.
When assembling the kit, you don't need any additional tools or glue to connect the individual wooden parts, because they are simply plugged together.
This makes this true-to-the-original model kit ideal for inexperienced users who have never assembled a model before.
